“Purchased the lowepro daypack looking for a camera case-backpack that would hold extra items in addition to a camera/lenses. Others I looked at were the mountainsmith brands and the lowepro sling-type bag. I chose this one because of the excellent reputation of lowepro. It also had features I liked such as : more comfortable than a sling, with a handle on top that allows strapping bag onto carryon, the bottom is squared so when set down it won't tip over, the internal front pocket has 2 small zippered pockets for money, extra memory cards, etc, as well as numerous slots for ipod and a key clip. The size of the front compartment is spacious enough for a sweater and lunch. The back compartment is well padded and designed for a laptop. What I don't really like is that the camera compartment is a bit shallow to place my DSLR with the 40-150mm lens in (lens down) though I can either put my smaller lens on, with plenty of room left over for the zoom, or I can adjust the pockets to fit the body + zoom in sideways.”
