Exchanges and Returns are quick and easy.

We offer $2.95 return shipping & $2.95 shipping on your next order using Instant Store Credit.*

Process your exchange or return online and receive Instant Store Credit on each item. The Instant Store Credit stores on your account for 60 days and you can start shopping for a new item immediately. After 60 days, we will refund any remaining balances on your account to the original method of payment. All items returned for exchange or replacement should be returned within 10 days in order for the credit to remain on your account.

You may choose to take refund at any time as long as the item(s) is returned within 10 days. On a return for refund, a return shipping fee of $6.95 ($10.95 AK/HI) will be deducted from your balance to cover shipping from you to us. During the online returns process, you'll print your invoice to include within your return package and return shipping label(s)*.

*$2.95 return shipping & $2.95 shipping on your next order is only applicable when utilizing Instant Store Credit. If credit is not used, return shipping charges may apply upon any refund. $2.95 Shipping on replacement orders or exchanges is valid only for addresses located within the 48 contiguous United States of America (EXCLUDES ALASKA, HAWAII, ALL OFFSHORE U.S. TERRITORIES AND POSSESSIONS, AND ALL INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING). APO/FPO addresses are not eligible for discounted shipping. Orders will be shipped via UPS GROUND. Does not apply to oversized items, DirectShip items, oversized orders or items with special shipping charges.


How long does my credit last?

  • As long as all products are received within 10 calendar days, you have 60 days to use your credit on a replacement product or even shop all new items!
  • If we have not received the item you are exchanging within 10 days of processing your return for exchange or replacement online, you will be billed. The shipping label you print in this process allows us to track the package in route.

What happens after 60 days?

  • If you have used your Instant Store Credit and we have received the item you returned, nothing more will happen.
  • If you have not used your credit and have returned the product, any unused balance will reconcile to your original method of payment – with the exception of product purchased using third party payment methods like PayPal and PayPal Credit.

What if I've changed my mind and just want a return?

When we've received your returned item within the 10-day timeframe, your original payment method will be credited minus a return shipping fee of $6.95 (48 contiguous U.S. only). Please read the "return for refund" section for details. You may do this with any credit you have on your account at any time.

Can I still get instant store credit on my exchange if I live outside the 48 states?

At this time, anyone outside of the contiguous 48 states, APO/FPO and all U.S. possessions and territories are excluded from the online Instant Credit Process. To make a return or exchange, please refer to the back of your invoice to perform a traditional return/exchange (below). A $10.95 return shipping charge will apply for AK, HI, all U.S. possessions and territories when using our prepaid UPS return shipping label.

Can any item I’ve purchased at Sierra Trading Post be returned online?

All items that are placed online or over the phone are eligible, and almost all items purchased in a retail store are eligible. There are a few exceptions in our retail stores, but if you don’t see the item you purchased within the list of eligible items while doing your online return, simply call us and we’ll see if the item for refund may be processed over the phone.

Returns for Refund

To cover return shipping from you to us, a $6.95 return shipping fee (contiguous U.S.) will be deducted from your refund. For AK, HI and all U.S. possessions and territories, a $10.95 return shipping fee will be deducted from your refund amount. The original method of payment will be refunded as soon as we process the items you wish to return.

Traditional Exchanges, Replacements & Returns

If you prefer a Traditional Exchange, Replacement, or Return simply fill out the form on the back of your invoice and use the prepaid UPS return shipping label included within your package (merchandise returns for refund may be subject to a return shipping fee of $6.95 for 48 contiguous U.S. and $10.95 for AK, HI, all U.S. territories and possessions). We will process your return or exchange after it arrives (please note: requests for item exchange using the traditional method will be subject to availability). For traditional exchange and replacement requests, a $2.95 shipping fee will apply to the new order.

Please follow the packing and return instructions to ensure prompt service.

  • Please clean any garments and repack items in sturdy packaging.
  • Please include a copy of your invoice in the box.
  • If you do not have your invoice, check your email and reprint the invoice if you went through our online exchange/return program. Otherwise, please enclose your Customer Number, Full Name and Billing Address with your return package. Enclosing this information helps us expedite your return.
  • If you use the Return Label included with your original order, a return shipping fee of $6.95 will be charged for all returns within the 48 contiguous U.S. A return shipping fee of $10.95 will be charged for AK, HI, all U.S. territories and possessions. This fee covers return shipping from you to us.
  • For the nearest UPS drop-off location visit and select the Locations Tab to find a drop-off location near you.
  • If you need to use an alternate carrier for the return, use the return address label and make sure that your package is prepaid and insured. COD packages will not be accepted.
