In an average year, the Sierra Trading Post fulfillment center ships more than 2 million packages containing over 7 million pieces of merchandise. All of these packages combined weigh over 11.5 million pounds. That's equal to 16 Boeing 747s!
Our fulfillment center boasts 348,000 square feet of storage space, providing us with plenty of room to expand our product selections for you! Whether you order kayaks or daypacks, we can now handle products of all shapes and sizes.
The state-of-the-art warehouse facility was designed with energy conservation in mind. When solar-powered skylights measure incoming light as "sufficient," a computer chip will automatically turn off more than 180 overhead lights so we can utilize as much natural light as possible. In addition, motion detector lighting is used in picking areas, so an aisle is only lit up when it is being used. No wasted energy here!
