Love these boots! I have a high arch and found them to have very good support and not too tight over the instep. Almost always wear 8.5 medium, but they ran a solid 1/2 size large and quite narrow. The 8 C was a perfect fit, the C is really not wide in appearance or fit. No problems breaking in,...

I love Lucchese boots and have many, but something is definitely wrong with this boot. There is a "hump" in the inside sole of each boot, right in front of the area where your heel sits. It's as if they didn't smooth down the inside of the sole or foot bed, in this particular area. The result is that, with every step, you feel this "hump", and it is awful. I tried all my other Lucchese boots on - with this boot on the other foot - and NONE of my other boots had this problem. So this boot is definitely defective......although beautiful in every other way. I was VERY disappointed because I loved this boot otherwise.

I ordered and reorder these boots trying to make at least one pair work but no luck. 1. They run large as the listing states, 2. quality is all over the place--first pair didn't have an attached liner, second pair was assembled crooked, third pair had stray stitching and the left boot fit different than the right, and the insole transition between the heel to forefoot was painful to stand on. STP pricing is fabulous, as usual, but the boots just didn't meet my expectations and went back.
This is what the Lucchese web sites recommends. http://www.lucchese.com/faqs.ph
• Brush off dirt or dust with a damp cloth or soft brush.
• Apply a leather conditioner.
• Apply a non-silicone water and stain protector.
