Nice pants, terrible descriptionReviewed by Dave in Frederick from Maryland on Thursday, July 31, 2014Okay, this is one of those relatively rare occasions where STP has completely screwed things up. I ordered a pair of each color, and got not just different colors, but completely different pants.
The "glacier" pair were actually a pair of Lucky 361 vintage straight khakis, as shown in the "rear view" picture. I had assumed that was just a screw up with the pictures, but apparently not. They also aren't glacier in color, they're the pictured olive-ish green. Nice pants, but not jeans, not 329s, and not glacier.
As for the "Dunes" color, they actually are Lucky 329 jeans, but just about everything else is wrong. The description says the fit is "slim, straight leg", but these are very loose fitting. Lucky's own website describes the 329 as "roomy through the hip and thigh, with a 17 tapered leg opening", which sounds right. They are comfortable, though, which brings us to more wrongness. The description says these are stretch denim (99% cotton, 1% spandex), but the jeans I received were a lightweight linen denim (64% cotton, 36% linen). This makes for a very soft, lightweight and comfortable denim. Between the fit and material, they feel almost more like pajama pants than jeans. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but it was a surprise.
I ended up keeping both because despite not being as described, they are nice pants. Just be warned that you may not get what you expect.
