    Good looking, comfortable shoes, but shoddy construction. After a few months the stitching fell apart and the elastic closure is not sufficiently strong. These shoes are certainly not up to Mephisto standards and perhaps that's why they are closed out – very cheap flimsy construction.

    Great to walk in, have thin bottoms but still manage to have a "cushy" feel when walking. They are not *too* narrow but do seem like they might be tight for a wide foot. Nice shoes for a nice price!

    I am living in Paris right now and walking at least 4 miles a day, my feet were starting to hurt a lot so I got these shoes and they help immensely- the only problem is that the stitching on the outside part of one of the shoes already has a hole after just 2 weeks. It's not an issue unless it gets bigger...

    The fit was fine, I have a narrow foot. Thje elastic strap was not of sufficient width, strength or quality to hold the shoe together. The "brad" the elastic went through was defective. Very displeased with the closure on this shoe making them "unwearable."

    Biggest problem is they don't last forever, but I use them hard. Mephistos were recommended by my podiatrist for my back pain and foot problems, short leg and bunions. These work, most other shoes don't. I walk miles a day, all surfaces and the cross-banding make for good side support and security as well as a fast put-on which doesn't aggravate my back. They fit like gloves and I can tighten them right up when I know the footing will be bad.
