I really liked this hat but ended up returning it because I found another that fit over my baclava & regular hat and had fur lining which helped to shelter my face better. This one fit comfortably without anything underneath it and seemed like it would be nice & warm. I did not care for the tie straps under the chin, it would be better with a velcro fastner.

The strap is ridiculous....flimsy and way too short. The bill could be a bit larger...does no good at this point.

When you tie the straps under your chin a gap opens at ear level that lets cold air into your ears. Just the thing the ear flaps are supposed to prevent! Someone who sews (not me) could attach longer more substantial straps in a better location (probably forward 1/2 or 1 inch toward leading edge).
