These shoes performed well at Joshua Tree National Park. Smeared well and great in slim cracks. I had to buy size and half bigger than company's given size on label.

The reason I got these shoes is because I went to one bouldering session and I was grossed out at the shoe rental hygiene (no amount of lysol is going to take out the grossness factor). I'm a 5'4ft woman, average to 7 pounds overweight, and between a size 7-7.5 in regular women's shoes. Sometimes I am a 6 or 6.5 depending on the shoes, if they are sized abnormally. The rockclimbing gym I went to gave me a 6.5, so naturally, I ordered these shoes in a 6.5. The Mad Rock Joker shoes were so small that my toes were forced into a curl. I exchanged it for a full size bigger, 7.5, [...].7.5 came and it fit a little smaller than the 6.5 rental shoes. It was also narrow in the toes. But it feels like I can break it in, so I'm keeping it. They are good starter shoes, I think.

I have only worn these on a couple of pitches so my opinions don't carry much weight except when I say, along with many others, that they feel very small for the size. They seemed to get more comfortable as time went by, but I haven't worn them enough to fairly assess their performance or long term comfort.
At the price, they're probably worth a flier. Resoling an old pair of shoes could cost more than these did new from STP.
