Magaschoni Drape Cardigan Sweater - Silk Rich (For Women)

I had hoped that it would work as an unstructured semi-cape-like top layer. But I found no way to drape it nicely, it always looked awkward. Nothing about it was flattering. Even the fabric was heavy and coarse.

The right person would do well by purchasing this sweater as it would be perfect to drape over an elegant dress or skirt outfit. Nevertheless, I found it rather old fashioned looking on me and I will give it to someone else who could use it. The size seemed one size too large. Note that it does have a slight sparkle and sheen to it. It does drape beautifully.

This Magasconi piece is more of a vest than a cardigan (there are no buttons in it). The fabric is interesting, the metallic yarn gives it a little of a flicker. I bought mine in a cactus colour and have been wearing it with a white linen shirt, sleeves rolled, and beige linen pants; it looks great in a safari kind of style.

While I'm disappointed that I no longer can buy this cardigan in linen colour in size S, I am surprised that these cardigans are still available. I got one in cactus colour late last autumn and find it very practical. Most of the time, I put it over a white linen shirt and, with one silver broche, pin it in the waistline so it drapes nicely. On a few occasions, I put it over a matching in colour bra, pinned with w bobby pin in the décolleté line and put another pin in the waistline, tossed it with while pants and that was my cool outfit for a warm day. While unique, it is a practical piece to go along with the classics. I only wish I could still get it in linen in size small.
