Maggy London Belted Dress - Short Sleeve (For Women)

This dress is very flattering and beautifully crafted.

I really enjoy this dress, it's well made and beautifully tailored. My description as "too small" refers to the actual size on the tag. I listed to other review, purchased two sizes up, and I am very happy. I have a high waist and a small bust. Women with a longer/lower waist would not fit this dress as well.

Fits me like a glove. I'm a 5'2" and athletically built. Normally I am a large 4 on top and a small 4 on bottom and I ordered this in a 6 because of the structured construction. The dress felt like it was tailored for me. The fabric and drape are wonderful. The color is neutral. Falls to my knee. Very flattering. Glad I did not think too long before purchasing.

This dress was SO heavy when I pulled it out of the box, it felt like a man's suit. It turned out that the belt is very heavy. Given the dress is so grey, I think it would have been much better if the belt were grey also. The contrast is huge (the belt is very shiny) and it looks like you added the belt yourself - and made a poor choice. It's a little too wide, too. The dress itself is beautiful. How can I say that about a plain grey dress? Try it on. The silk lining is a wild green (but only you know it's there and that's kind of cool). BUT I am 5'2" and this dress is above my knees (if it wasn't so conservative in every other way, I wouldn't be able to pull it off) so this should really be sold as a Petite. And it's nice. It doesn't say Maggy London anywhere. All of the tags say "muse."Is that her petite line? The other muse dress I have is short also. I'm saying "true to size" because I followed everyone's advice and went up a size. So do go up a size.

This is a great dress for a work or nice occasion. I'm a petite size and I found the fit slightly snug, but generally I wear more casual loose-fit clothing day to day. Very versatile with a scarf or jacket (or both/neither). Excellent quality and professional look.

I had to reorder in a larger size but love this dress and have received many compliments from professional collegues.

I am 5'4" and normally a size 2. This dress was much higher above my knees, much tighter around the hips, and much lower cut in the front than expected. The main drawback, however, was the pleating in the front created a gentle paunch, which is just plain unflattering. There may be a body type where this dress looks good, but it looked dreadful on me.
