    As a performing musician, I seek semi-formal wardrobe basics (in black). Must have slightly shorter than wrist-length sleeves that are not too tight or too loose, freedom at the waistline, modest skirt length, modest neckline. I ordered one size larger than usual to accommodate my bustiness, and I got it right! The exposure of cleavage is a little too revealing for some performances, so I can easily make a sheer black removable insert myself, which will add interest and solve the problem.

    The full drape below the plunge neckline as shown in the photo was not on the dress I tried on. The material was smooth and stretched flat across the upper and mid abdomen. I wear "tunic" or "empire waist" tops that cover my tummy adequately--and thought this dress was a similar design. I am a true size 14 or large top--this dress showed my tummy even with control top hose. Very pretty--just not for my body.
