    I actually liked the look of this dress, but I returned it - just didn't look good on me and the material was heavier than I thought it would be. Also, I could only get it in black - maybe the purple would have been a better color.

    This is my grab and go dress for cool or cold days. No ironing. Great with blazer or black leather jacket. This season it's hard to find a pin to dress it up, but jewelry is not required (earrings are enough). Great with flats, heels, or boots. Fabric has excellent drape and weight. The style is not quite elegant and a wee bit dowdy. Understated enough for a funeral, but can be part of power dressing. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

    This dress fits as a true petite; it has both narrower shoulders and a higher waist. I loved the scarlet color (great for brunettes!), the waist height, and the length, I was unprepared for the narrowness of the shoulder seam and the modest styling. It is a high quality dress, but the styling is reserved and demure, *not* sexy. Ponte knit is forgiving, and covers flaws & pantylines well.

    I'm going to keep this but it's very matronly. I don't have a problem with the neck - in fact, that gives the dress its only interest. The fabric is substantial - the dress feels quite heavy in your hands - but I still require Spanx in it. It's a vibrant purple but not a dazzling dress in any way. It's certainly modest!
