love fit and finish of shirts by this company, second color I have bought of this shirt, love both. Please bring the manufacture back to America and out of Asian sweatshops. I would pay more.

Shirt looks great. Runs a little large. I almost exchanged it, but figured that with a little shrinkage and a base layer, it might be just right.

These shirts are extraordinary, for looks, craftsmanship, price, and above all the quality of the cloth, which is heavy yet supple, breathable, and with a great drape. Although not listed as non-iron, if you wash them in cold water and hang to dry, they come out virtually wrinkle-free. I own three in this model and am anxious to try other models from Maker & Co.

I ordered this in the blue/black/green color. Great spring/summer shirt, and the one darker color makes it a decent transition-into-fall shirt as well. What really stands out about this brand's shirts are the details that you can't see in photos.

The fabric is very soft, approaching 100's quality if not there already. This is further confirmed by the solidity of the weave - though light passes through the shirt, it does not do so via open spaces in the weave, so it is rather dense compared to most shirtmakers. And finally, it is stiff in all the right places (collar, cuffs, placket) and very pliable everywhere else.

The other thing that makes me like these shirts is the detailing. The cuffs are double-button and mitered. The plackets are nice and wide. And the collars are -surprise!- *very* tall. You rarely find that these days, and I love it! Gives these shirts a classic look harkening back to times long past without looking costume-ish.

  • Question “How long is this? I have a really long torso.”

Asked on 1/22/2013 12:00:00 AM by Trip from United States
    • Answer It's not particularly long, but it's not short either. Compared to most of the other button-up sport shirts in my closet, the tail on this hangs about an inch or so lower. So, essentially standard length, but definitely closer to dress-shirt length than it is to work-shirt length.
