Reviewed by Everswifter from Baton Rouge on Sunday, March 16, 2014This is a well-made garment which looks great on my husband. The plaid is not so subdued as to be boring, but neither does it scream "I'm plaid as hell and you'll just have to take it." Even a colleague who doesn't normally observe such things noticed that there is a new shirt in the fleet.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by Bjornsson from Texas on Wednesday, February 13, 2013I ordered this in the light blue/mint color. Great spring/summer shirt. The pattern is just loud enough to be present, not overbearing, and the same goes for the colors. What really stands out about this brand's shirts, though, are the details that you can't see in photos.
The fabric is very soft, approaching 100's quality if not there already. This is further confirmed by the solidity of the weave - though light passes through the shirt, it does not do so via open spaces in the weave, so it is rather dense compared to most shirtmakers. And finally, it is stiff in all the right places (collar, cuffs, placket) and very pliable everywhere else.
The other thing that makes me like these shirts is the detailing. The cuffs are double-button and mitered. The plackets are nice and wide. And the collars are -surprise!- *very* tall. You rarely find that these days, and I love it! Gives these shirts a classic look harkening back to times long past without looking costume-ish.
