Mammut Anabol Jacket - Soft Shell (For Men)

It's really with a fashionable design and modern features makes this SoftShell be the first choice for outdoor uses.

Great looking Jacket that is sadly not the most weatherproof. I enjoy colder weather but felt way too cold in this jacket with two thin layers under it after temps dipped into the low 40s (with lots of wind). It looks bombproof, but the wind blows right through to your bones. I reserve it for cool summer nights, late spring/early fall day hikes. Anything more extreme this jacket becomes deadweight in your pack. It is breathable and the MAMMUT patent stretch material moves with your body perfectly. But it also fits slim so you can't really layer up with more than 2 long sleeve tops under it. What worked for me was a polypro tee and a thin windstopper fleece (TNF Wind X shirt) top under the Anabol which kept me warm and comfortable down to 45 degrees during one overnight camping trip. Other than that the Anabol is for urban pursuits.

Mammut makes great products that look and fit great. However, this jacket is a very light soft shell and is only useful for casual wear in moderate temperatures.

Very very sharp-looking jacket. I get a lot of compliments Looks futuristic without looking silly. I have not tested this in the field, but purchased to use as hiking windshirt for mountain approach and casual. been wearing casually for a while - Pros - nice look - soft but durable-feeling - little water beads right off Cons - not sure what anyone is talking about this having stretch. Very not stretchy - this being the case, I like to pull up sleeves of jacket to just below elbow. This is impossible with this jacket as it has no stretch in material and the cuffs are velcro without elastic. This is a major flaw in my mind. - sleeves made for someone with monkey arms. I wear a 36 inch sleeve in dress shirt and this is a couple inches long in XL.
