This jacket had great reviews and I bought it under the impression that it would be a great insulation layer. The jacket that I received from STP has poor workmanship with loose threads at several places; it feels like a demo/test jacket. It's currently summer so I don't have an opportunity to test out its insulating property, but with a loft of less than 1 inch (3 cm), I doubt that it will keep me warm in snowy weather. The best quality of this jacket is that it's very light weight of < 1 lb, but there's not enough insulation / down to keep you warm in cold weather.

Thanks to other reviewers, I ordered a correct size for my husband - this jacket runs larger than standard European cloths do (it's closer to US sizing). Sleeves are great length (i.e. not short) even in size S. It's a very light, thin and cloud-soft jacket; one of the most multi-purpose things. It will be perfect to wear on late summer evenings on Mackinac Island where we SCUBA dive every year. It will also be convenient to wear it on a plane. It's a simple, nice and practical thing definitely worth having.

Got this for my husband... he LOVES it! Fits him perfectly, and the color is not the pink you see in the picture... it's a beautiful spicy orangy-red. Compare prices as I have and you'll find this is the best price for this jacket anywhere. And it's light as a feather, and warm. Highly recommend Mammut in general and the Broad Peak specifically.

Got this for my husband and he's still talking about it. First off, the color looks like pink or salmon in the picture, it's not--- it's a spicy reddish orange... really handsome. And then the jacket's best quality: it's EXTREMELY lightweight, less than a pound... yet very warm. Perfect for travel when you need a warm layer. My husband loves how it feels, I love how it looks. We had no issues with sizing. This jacket is a beauty, and a bargain (check prices on other web sites).

Have to agree with prior review. Sizing is off compared to other Mammut items. Mammut usually runs small, but not this one. Otherwise, beautiful jacket and lightweight, but no mediums left.

Seems like a good jacket, but sizing is inconsistent with other Mammut gear.I always get size L from Mammut and it fits me great. This jacket I definately need in M.[...] So will just be shipping back.
