Mammut Kailash Gore-Tex® Jacket - Waterproof Insulated (For Women)

The quality of this jacket is really good, the fabrics (there are two outer types of fabric used), the insulation and the workmanship are there. There shouldn't be any problems with the plastic snaps, next to the zip-off hood either. My problem with this jacket is in its size. I measure 34"-25"-36" (chest-waist-hips); while my chest and waist can be either 2 or 4 in US sizing, my hips are size 4 (in normal, not vanity sizing). My torso and the shoulders (I have straight, broader shoulders) fit great in this jacket, the arms fit equally well (the sleeves are on a longer side – perfect) but my hips are not made for this jacket in size XS (4). I cannot use the elastic drawcord hem (there is nothing to tighten up) and if I were to wear a thicket hip length sweater underneath, the jacket would ride up being too tight in hips. Clearly XS (4) is not my size. I haven't tried size S and I don't know how it would look on me. After trying this jacket in black, white and barley, all in XS, I'm done for now with Mammut's Kailash.

I needed a new waterproof snowboarding jacket and this one fit the bill perfectly! It kept me warm and dry on the slopes and looks great too. I love the fact that it is insulated and so I don't need to layer as much. I would recommend this jacket to anyone!

This jacket is beautifully made and is of obvious excellent quality. However, I ended up returning it because it does not feel true to size. If you order this jacket, I recommend ordering one size larger than you normally would purchase.
