Mammut Laser Jacket - Schoeller® NanoSphere® Soft Shell (For Men)

I am 6'3" and this jacket fits perfect in an XL if it were any shorter though it would be a problem. Great all around soft shell, definitely for cooler weather use. I am excited to see how the NanoSphere holds up in the long run

This is one comfortable and stylish jacket - very functional foo! I love that the arms are a bit long as I often have a problem with jacket arms being too short! In shirt size I wear a 36 sleeve length.

The schoeller fabrics (WB 400) and treatment (nanosphere) help to set this apart from a crowded softshell market. This is a minimalist jacket, just two hand pockets, no pit zips, no storm flap behind the zipper and a huge helmet compatible hood that is rather floppy without a helmet and does not roll or stow away. The sleeves should be adequately long for most unless you have really long limbs, which I do (36-36" sleeve @ 6'2"), So the thumb loops are hit and miss. But the fabric does have a bit of stretch, which helps a little. The reinforced fabric at the shoulder and hips is a nice touch but tends to pool water in the heavy fabric weave. The material and fabric treatment will handle light rains and snow well. Just keep in mind that it is not seam taped. And the lightly fleeced interior makes this more of a cool weather jacket. Definitely burly with a minimal feature set. If you are the type that needs napolean pockets, interior pockets, neck draw cords, wrist adjustment tabs, snow skirts and a hood for non helmeted head then this, more than likely, is not the jacket for you. For gear nuts it is a functional and well made jacket to include your gear quiver.

I love this jacket

I love Mammut gear and usually their XXLs fit me just right -- snug, but with room to move. This is a fantastic jacket, but the XXL is a bit too snug, especially at the waist. Having said that, it is of top-notch construction with my favorite in materials -- Schoeller -- with enough stretch to move with me. Water beads up on it on the outside, without any moisture or clamminess on the inside. Will do fine on its own down to freezing and would be the ultimate layer for below-freezing
