I am a fan of the soft shell jacket and this is a great one. I love the soft, fleece lining and the minimalist approach to the style. The only thing I would mention is that it runs small. Quite lightweight yet will layer w/ fleece. I recommend ordering one sz up. Have not used it yet. The reason for the quick reply - it is a very flattering, great looking jacket, GREAT color (turquoise) w/ plenty of compartments for skiing and hiking storage needs. Frequently, womens' coats lack in the storage compartment. I can't wait to wear it!!

Wake up outdoor companies and realize that XL women are not this small. I am tall and fit and too often the Xl size for women is way too small. Make things that fit real women.

This does have a trim fit, so I ordered a size up, and it's great. A perfect layer under a shell for extreme weather or on its own in cool weather or when being active in the cold. The only thing I wish it has is a double sided zipper, but otherwise, it's a great jacket. My husband covets mine!

About Mammut

Mammut is a Swiss-based producer of high-quality mountaineering, climbing and trekking equipment. The company’s history actually dates back to the mid-1800’s, beginning with a single rope maker named Kaspar Tanner. By the 1940’s, the brand had officially adopted the mammoth logo and name. Originally specializing in Mammut ropes, the well-known alpine gear company eventually grew its product line to include mountaineering boots, crampons, harnesses and hardware. By the 1990’s, the product selection had grown even further to include Mammut jackets, pants, sleeping bags, Mammut packs and a host of other premium-quality essentials for the outdoor enthusiast.
