These pants were what I have been looking for. A warm durable pant to use for backcountry hiking with snowshoes etc. I think they might be warm for cross country but have not tried them yet.     These pants are great for any winter activity. The length was not too long which is always an issue for me at 5'1.

    ...we will move to Juneau next year and I am planning on wearing these pants to go hiking and skiing. The fleece lining is really warm and soft...you don't want to take them off again.
