These shoes were comfortable from the moment I put them on. No breaking in required. I have narrow heels and they fit well through the heel without pinching the front of my foot. I got my usual size and the length is right with just enough room in the toe.
I do a lot of walking (flat ground in the Midwest), but these are not shoes for striding along. The sole is stiff and gives excellent support, but doesn't flex as needed for brisk walking. That support along with a comfortable footbed makes these the best shoes I've worn in a long time.
I've gotten compliments on the asymmetrical look, too.
The only drawback, something that drives me nuts about many laced shoes and boots, is that the laces don't stay tied so they have to be double knotted.
    Like the brown/blue color, too.

These are great for me to wear everyday with jeans. Very comfortable, though the arch support is not quite perfect for my feet. I ordered an 8, my usual size, and they are a bit big, but not so big as to justify exchanging them. They are a bit clunky sounding too, similar to heavy shoes or light boots. But these shoes are light, so I think its just the chunky sole styling. Overall, regardless of a few quirks, I love them!
