Mammut Schoeller® Dryskin Champ Pants - Soft Shell (For Women)

I've used these pants snowshoeing with long underwear underneath - they did great in the snow and stayed dry. I've also taken them to the desert and used them while biking and found them comfortable and sturdy. The only weird thing I've noticed is that the waist buttons the opposite way that I'm used to pants normally buttoning. I would like it if they had cargo-style pockets on each side (there is only one on one side) but I'm not too unhappy about that. In general I really like these pants.

Didn't seem to be available in Petite for size 42. I have to figure a way to shorten them. Use for casual, XC ski, snowshoe n' ice skating. Stretches nicely over light long underwear.

The stretch in these pants is great-giving alot of movement. The hand of the fabric is wonderful.Perfect for walking through wet woods. I am pear shaped and these fit perfect.

When I first put the Champ pants on, they were so soft and pliable--and comfy--that they felt more like PJs than spendy hiking pants. But then I went outside into a cool, windy rain, and all 'semblance of PJs stopped. The pants shielded me from wind and rain. I stayed warm. They are great--stretchy, and strong, as well as very comfy. OK, I COULD wear them as PJs. They are that pliant and comfy. But mostly I'll be wearing them in the North Cascades this summer and loving every minut of wind-shielded, abrasion-proof water-resistant hiking.

These pants have good deep pockets. I like the zippers on the bottom of the legs. It allows you to close around boots or unzip and wear loose. Great material and warm. I wear these walking in the snowy woods with kids and the dog and shoveling snow. I am going to buy in the grey color too. The size does seem a bit big though

So dry when i spilled a drink on them, it disappeared! didn't even need to whipe up. amazing pants

Got these for my wife, after several years of using Schoeller gear myself. Mammut is better tailored than mine. Good price for elite fabric. Schoeller IS all it's cracked up to be. I expect these to become her go-to pants (by themselves, with long undies if chilly, with a shell if wet or windy, with both in winter). Would have given five stars but hers were small, and she had to go up two full sizes from usual.

I am going to spend a months this fall sketching, right by the Atlantic Ocean. These pants are just what I was looking for. Great protection, comfy to wear all time, nice fit.

Not lightweight or packable for spring/summer wear, backpacking or travel. Cargo pockets add mucho pounds to slim hips! Might keep for winter wear...skiing or snowshoeing, and when looking bulky doesn't matter, because it's winter and everyone looks bulky anyway.
