Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I live in Colorado and fly-fish at least 50 days a year. I own several other high-end fly rods, including a Sage Z-Axis 6wt and an Orvis Zero Gravity 5 wt. The March Brown Hidden water (4-piece) matches up very favorably with both of the above 4-piece fly rods. I used the March Brown yesterday on the San Juan River (quality tail waters section) in NM. It was a windy day. The rod had the backbone to handle those conditions while casting streamers as well as #22 - #24 flies. I landed a dozen trout including several fish in excess of 20 inches. It was a joy to play the larger fish on the MB rod. Several days ago, I also used it on a local (small) stream. I found the rod to be sensitive enough to make catching smaller trout enjoyable. Overall, a fine product. Nothing was spared in the manufacture of this fly rod. Buy it! You won't be sorry.

This is well made, good looking rod which I bought for travel, since it will easily fit in my bag. It functions well as a very fast 6 wt. rod, but I think it will be better if used with a 7 weight line or for throwing streamers with sink tip lines.

I've used this rod on 2 day trips now. It has already jumped up to my favorite rod in performance and convenience. I primarily fish mountain lakes and prefer a stiffer, fast-acting rod to cast flies out further. It has better casting action than my 4-piece TFO TiCr and 4-piece Loomis Rio Santo. The fact that it is so compact is the biggest benefit. You can easily hide this rod in your pack, or carry it with your spin-rod inside your spin-rod tube. Well worth the purchase for my intended uses. I probably should have bought two of them just to be safe, but they are sold out for now.
