I used moderate layering and was very comfortable skiing all day. One thing I did notice was when I was riding the chair lift I could feel the cold through the back of the jacket as I rode up the ski hill. The insulation may be a bit thin. Otherwise I really liked the jacket and all the other features, such as pockets and fit. This year's Marker jackets seem to have extremely long sleeve lengths for corresponding overall size.
