Marker USA Barometer Gore-Tex® Jacket - Waterproof, Insulated (For Women)

I love this jacket! I have taken it along to Austria X-country skiing, Netherlands bicycling, and everyday wear up here on the Pacific north coast. I really like that it is a shell so that I can wear my own fleece (or not) under it. Sadly, after a year and a half of wear, the lining in the hood began coming apart at the seams (the material unraveled with not enough seam allowance). I cannot really fix it without sewing through the Gore-Tex outer shell which will ruin the waterproof properties and this jacket is no longer offered anywhere online. I will contact STP as they are always great about returns, but I have no idea how I will replace this jacket that works perfectly for me. Do order one size larger than you do in US sizes. I always take no more than a size 6 but the size 8 was just right for me in this style.

This coat is designed for skiing. The cut, vent features pockets/hood are right on.

Nice fitting, non-bulky technical jacket. It has a sleek look and is not constrictive. It has the usual pockets found in technical jackets and the color is bright. The length comes to the mid-hip. The insulated jacket is a bit warmer than what I wanted- but will probably still get a lot of use out of it.

I'm really happy with this jacket, and I'll be keeping it as my ski jacket. The material is soft, so it's very comfortable, but Goretex means it's really REALLY waterproof (which I'm happy about). I like the color, and there are quite a few pockets inside. My complaints are minor and more or less cosmetic, but why it's a 4/5: 1) no zip off hood 2) puny snow skirt 3) no hand/sleeve liner.

Nice looking jacket with solid features. Based on others' reviews, I purchased a fleece liner and I'm glad I did. The jacket wouldn't be warm enough on the slopes without an additional liner. I especially liked the hood feature -- use the hood or roll it down and secure it with a tab. A good deal!

It is so hard to tell on the computer! I was hoping the color would not be such a pastel looking green. I am sure it would be nice if I liked the color. I have another jacket by Marker and I do like the quality.

I usually wear a US women's medium - size 8. These are european sizes, so I orderd a 10 and it fit perfectly.

Ordered this jacket for my daughter for Christmas[...] Jacket is very well constructed, if perhaps a little lightweight from my view, but my daughter has said she'll just layer with polar fleece underneath. All around we are very pleased and have placed orders for ski/board wear for my husband and son since then!

I am tall so that could be why the torso length and arm length feels too short. I am a snowboarder also, so i'm use to jackets being longer. It is honestly not enough of a problem for me to return it. I deal with this problem in every article of clothing. Super warm.
