Love this product for an active outdoor person.Keeps you warm without the bulk and keeps you dry in wet weather.

This is a perfect day-to-day and ski jacket for my high school son. It is NOT insulated whatsoever, though it is designed as a ski jacket, e.g., it has a moisture barrier sewn into the bottom inside of the jacket. It needs to be layered with a fleece or other source of warmth. This is fine with me as I like the idea of layered garments. It is a well-designed and produced garment and, of course, as waterproof as they come given its use of Gore-Tex as the waterproof barrier in the fabric.

I've looked for a basic shell like this off and on for a couple of years. Great for activity on warmer (upper 20's, low 30's) days when it's snowing with light wind. Would probably need a substantial poly layer under it for strong wind, but there's room. This is great for my needs, and well made.

Very well done jacket. I snowboarded in it all week and stayed perfectly dry. The sleeves seem a little long at first, but with layering give added mobility. Plenty of pockets and a dedicated MP3 pocket if you're into that kind of thing. It should serve as a backpacking jacket if I need it, though it is heavier than ideal for that use.
