I think for real cold weather it might not be quite enough on it's own. But overall playing outside in the snow, she has stayed dry, warm, the hood fits well, and seems windproof as well. Has a bit of a snowboarder look to it! But colors are very nice, and it's cute!

I got a L for my son who's wearing reg size 5-6 and it fits perfectly. The red pattern can be unisex. Though it might not be warm enough it temperature is freezing.
