“Serious Jacket”

“I haven't used the jacket in the field yet, so I can only go off my experience of what will and will not work. This is a beautiful jacket (I got it in red and the color is great). The workmanship and materials seem to be top notch. It has pockets everywhere and for everything imaginable, the zippers seem to be good quality,and the internal wind/snow skirt is handy. When I got it, I realized I should have gone with Goretex Paclite technology for my purposes of extended stay hiking. I'm sure this jacket will serve me very well in the field, but it it weighs a little more than I would like and takes up a little too much room. Overall though, I'm going to get used to slight increase in weight a bulk and this is going to be a great jacket. Would definitely recommend for someone where weight is less of an issue.”
