Great features with fleece collar, powder skirt, pockets for beacon, etc.

I found the fit to be perfect. Just roomy enough for layering. Great deal on a high quality ski shell. Stowable hood is great. Very happy with the purchase.

I haven't used the jacket in the field yet, so I can only go off my experience of what will and will not work. This is a beautiful jacket (I got it in red and the color is great). The workmanship and materials seem to be top notch. It has pockets everywhere and for everything imaginable, the zippers seem to be good quality,and the internal wind/snow skirt is handy. When I got it, I realized I should have gone with Goretex Paclite technology for my purposes of extended stay hiking. I'm sure this jacket will serve me very well in the field, but it it weighs a little more than I would like and takes up a little too much room. Overall though, I'm going to get used to slight increase in weight a bulk and this is going to be a great jacket. Would definitely recommend for someone where weight is less of an issue.

Have not used in wet conditions, but it appears to be very well made and fits well with plenty of room for layering when needed. I would say it was a good value.

runs a little big. I normally wear XL and bought an XL. But I like my jackets a little bigger than average size.

I wanted to get a jacket that I could use for skiing, but could also double as a rain jacket. This has worked very well so far in the rain; haven't had a chance for the snow yet. It definitely runs big. I'm usually between a medium and a large (5'10, 200 lbs) and the medium is a little big on me and the sleeves are long... I like it, though, because it leaves room for layering and I won't get snow up my sleeves on the mountain.

Looked for a long time to find a new ski jacket, and in particular a good GoreTex one. I have owned several Marker products and been reasonably impressed so thought I would give this one a try. I have been very impressed with the quality of the build, finish, zipper and absolute waterproofness as demonstrated a recent downpour here. On the ski slopes it is windproof and comfy. It is a heavier weight jacket, not a lightweight hiker super compact one and does make crinkly noise. As others have said here, it does run on the big side but I chose XL since I wanted to be able to wear a fleece jacket or sweater underneath as a base layer and this works great. I am 6'2" 225 lbs for reference. The sleeves are a little long for me 35" shirt length, but I like that since it snugs against my gloves and doesn't let in any snow or cold air. Overall I like it a lot.

This is another great Marker product at a great Sierra TP price. I am 6' tall and weigh 205 lbs and the large is a bit loose on me even after base & mid layer and a fleece vest. Very nice looking also.

Works great for winter walks with a heavy wool shirt under it.
