I bought these pants to pull on over my work out shorts for winter. The lining feels nice on your legs and is easy to put on over the top of other clothes. However, the outer fabric is kind of stiff and makes that "swish, swish" sound as you walk. I think these pants would be too hot to wear while doing winter activities. They would block the wind, but don't seem to be very breathable for strenuous activity.

These pants are very basic. They block the wind somewhat, so they're worth the money that they cost. They run a bit short. The leg is cut a bit wide, so the legs brush one another as one walks, making an irritating swishing noise.

I got these to wear for hiking on cold & wet days and playing in the snow with my kids. I have been mostly pleased with them. The fit is blocky and bulky, but I wear them over athletic pants or long johns, so I can't expect them to be too stylish I suppose. They are more breathable than my packable rain pants, but when I'm hiking and my muscles heat up I do tend to be 100% sweaty in these pants. They are made of 2 layers of wind proof fabric, so they keep you pretty toasty. They are what I wear when insulated snow pants are too hot. I have sat in the snow playing with my kids and they don't get wet. ONE WARNING... follow the wash/dry instructions! I forgot and put mine in the dryer and they did shrink a little. They still fit, but they are clearly shorter and snugger now. :-(

This product can be worn or packed to take with on a hike for when the weather changes. Or in the early spring when the snow is still present.

This pants are lightweight and waterproof; great for skiing or hiking with a base layer underneath. However, I am 5'6 128 lbs. and the small is rather big on me! They are also a bit long. All in all, though, good value!

I use these pants as wind pants over long underwear and they are perfect for cross country skiing, even when we stop for lunch.I first ordered the size medium and they were huge for a medium; the small is just right and I was able to exchange it [...]If there is one "con" it is that the legs seem a little too big around, so there is some bulk.Price vs value is good.

The large has a little extra room so they fit perfect over my flannel lined jeans these will make a perfect combo for me in -20 -30 for general use outside around the house or for short walks. Haven't a chance to use for more.

These pants are just right for cross-country skiing. Not too hot, but with a lining that allow no under layer on warmer conditions.
