    These are perfect for how I intend to use them: as an outer layer while hiking and walking in rainy, snowy, or cold weather. I have used them quite a few times since I purchased them and the "rustling" noise mentioned by other reviewers doesn't bother me at all. They are a tiny, tiny bit on the short side, which is good for wearing with hiking boots (no fear of tripping on the trail). I'm really happy with them and am glad I bought two pairs so I can have one "in stock" when the first pair wears out. The low price was an extra bonus.

    I wanted to use these pants over a wetsuit for additional protection. I was surprised when I put them on how big they were; the legs extended past my feet and onto the floor (I'm 5'4") and they were extremely poofy. I felt like a giant marshmallow. I'd recommend going a size down.

    I received my pants just in time for a trip to Yosemite. We went snowshoeing one day, and the pants were perfect! I was warm and dry. My only complaint was that they didn't breathe well and I got a bit sweaty when in a warm room. I really like that they are so easy to pack.
