They are described as "insulated". This term is very generous for the thin lining these pants have. This is the second pair of pants I ordered that was not accurately described. Ordering over the internet, sight unseen, requires accurate descriptions. [...]

Bought these for my son who is a ski racer and wears them over his speed suit on race day. He needs to get them off quickly at the top of the course just before he races and back on quickly to keep warm after his run. Very good quality, comfy, warm and sylish. He loves them!

Great ski/snowboard pants for the money; have not hit the slopes with them yet. I am so far happy with the purchase, but I wanted to make a note of size issues. I am 6'1" male who typically wears a 33 waist and 33 length for pants. I ordered medium (sizing chart indicated 31-33 waist). However, these run small. I could barely snap closed the pants. I swapped them out for a large (34-36 waist), and they were just right. I believe someone who wears even a 34+ waist might consider an XL. Length seemed good for my relatively tall frame.
