I purchased this bag for an upcoming mountaineering trip so weight was a big concern. This bag is perfect, very lightweight and easily stowed in my pack.

I've now used this bag a couple of times and it's really nice. This thing is quality, nice fabric, strong zippers, nice loft and it's really warm. For the $ I spent here on this I would have gotten a much lower quality bag if I were buying new/retail.

Well made and generous enough in the shoulder area.

I recently took the bag on a 4 day canoing trip to northern Arkansas where the temperatures ranged from 38-50 at night. This bag kept me very warm on the coldest night in just shorts and a long sleeve shirt. Bag can also be zipped nearly all the way down to regulate temperature on warmer nights. The material appears to be very durable while still being extremely soft and comfortable. In fact, it's more comfortable than my sheets at home :) At this temperature rating, it's obviously not an ultra light weight bag, but it is still very light compared to synthetic bags. Great weight to warmth ratio for my general camping purposes. The bag becomes very compact when packed in the provided stuff sack which allowed plenty of room in my dry bag for other items. Excellent bag at a greay price. Never pay retail again!

  • Question “It is recommended that sleeping bags, especially down, be stored hanging and not in their bags. I assume that this model of sleeping bag produced by Marmot is discontinued. How are they stored prior to shipping? Could this bag have been in its stuff sack for weeks, months or years?”
Asked on 6/18/2012 12:00:00 AM by TJ from Montana
    • Answer All Marmot down bags are stored in a light weight cotton sack. The sack promotes movement and airflow. Only synthetic sleeping bags are stored in their stuff sacks.
