Bought the long version for me (6'-3", 200 lbs) and the regular length for my 10-year old daughter. We both slept comfortably on trips into the Sawtooth and Whitecloud mountains of Idaho. Frosted several of the mornings but we both stayed warm. Not loaded with features, but a decent bag for the money.

used on camping trip to kanetok river in ak. probably over-rated by 10-20 degrees. also zipper constantly snags. if you are going to be in serious conditions (e.g. rain, wind, cool/cold weather) do NOT buy this bag.

Tried it out last week in the Smokies on a section of the AT. Loved it. Felt great to be warm and comfortable after a day of backpacking and climbing 300 feet on the trail. Great buy.

Inaccurate Temp Rating, No draft protection, Not warm, Poor construction
Best Uses:
Warm weather camping
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Out of the box, and if you don't pay much attention to it, the bag looks great! Once you use it a couple of times you'll figure out that it doesn't have a real draft collar. So warmth isn't really properly sealed in. And then to make matters worse, the zipper just slides open as you sleep on its own, since there's no velcro tabs or anything else to hold it in place. So, I wouldn't recommend this bag for any use below 50F.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
This bag was a good deal for the price. Most Marmot stuff is pretty good. I expected this bag to be a 35 degree comfort zone and that is what it is. At 20 degress I would be very cold. I use it as a summer bacpacking bag in the Sierras where I hope the temperature will be above freezing. Good value for the price. It does not equal any 800 fill 20 degree bag.
