Just what I was looking for - we'll have to ask my son after a summer of camp life. At least his head and toes will be covered!

This is the most value I've found and I've researched thoroughly. Synthetic is heavier than down, however this weighs in under 4 pounds. All bags absorb moisture and sweat, however synthetic bags dry fast and will be ready night after night, whereas down bags can take 3-4 days to completely dry out. Down just doesn't work well in the Rockies for that reason. Temps fluctuate more than flat-lands, and so this hot bag is needed year round. It has double left zippers so you can vent it however you'd like to while sleeping and with ease, no fumbling. I'm 6'1", 200 lbs., and this bag has more than ample room for not only me, but my morning clothes at the bottom to warm. Though it is a bit heavier than down, you can't go wrong with these new synthetic bags for usability and comfort, because you will have a crisp dry bag night after night. This particular bag compresses very well, and it fits in my Gregory full size backpack. Tight, but fits fine, and is very durable for hiking backcountry. I purchased a liner for it to bring it to a 0 degree bag, and for general sanitation to keep the bag like new, and it has been thoroughly mountain tested in a bivy sack down to about 25 degrees, and with my liner was hot and vented the whole night. I'm comfortable enough with this bag to go 4 season camping with it, since it dries so fast, and am certain it will do well in an igloo. (FYI: Stuff sack included)

Marmot bags are very good value from STP. This Sorcerer bag is heavy but not a concern- used as a comforter at my camp. Inside lining is a coarser, more durable fabric than on the 600 down bags and should wear well. Seems well-rated, temperature-wise. Wish it came with a bivy-storage bag but that's a monor gripe considering the very good price--
