I can choose whether I want to be cold on the front or the back. There is not enough down for both sides. I was cold around 40ºF, and I think I would die if I used it at 5ºF! Apart form this it looks like it's well made and it can always keep the head warm. I will return it anyway.

Have only used this bag once but it was great. I love it already. Great low temp rating for the price!

This sleeping bag has a great price, however I have a 15 degree marmot I bought a few years ago, it has much more loft, and seems to be warmer. Several "squares" in bag feel like they have almost no down at all, you can litteraly feel both sides with nothing there. I contacted Sierra, and they sent me out a replacement bag, it seems a little better but is still not as "lofty" as my 15 degree bag.

Marmot's Snowy Range (Long) has a nylon outer shell and great POLY inner shell. At 5-10 and 160 I really appreciate the very open up-down feel at the feet and room to spread legs apart for a stretch. Bag has a light airy feeling, great for rubbing one foot over the other to get up circulation without noticing the bag (don't overlook this advantage). Warmth comes back from all sides of the quality BLACK liner. Toss gear to the foot and it will be warm when needed. Lots of room for me to move about. Small velcro flap at neck closure is not noticed. Drawstring inside (for inner collar) and outside for just behind the face ring of the hood. Great spiral side zipper whose inner down insulated baffle presents a stiff snag-avoiding face towards it. If more warmth is needed slip on light poly or merino. At 4 pounds this is not necessarily for hiking the Grand Canyon in early spring but Looking back I would loved to have had it and would toss other things from the kit. Recollecting nearly 50 years of hiking, camping, canoeing, kayaking and sailing we feel very privileged (astonished) to have anything like this bag for today's asking prices. It can truly last a lifetime and with no fuss can keep you warm in your car, boat, home, tent. If the power goes tomorrow put this bag on the bed and sleep very well without the need to warm a mattress with your body.

Bag is very comfortable with a lot of loft. A compression sack would make it easier to load in the pack. A great bag for the price.

I use the sleeping bag for car camping with the kids and backpacking with friends. I have been really warm every time I use it and it compresses to a reasonable size.
