Fast, easy setup, ROOMY and lightweight, great ventilation...a true three season tent! I was surprised with the 'knee wall' design (not evident in photos) that allows more usable floor space, keeping the tent wall out of your face. Dual doors are a blessing! There is enough head room to sit up and dress inside, all in all lighter and roomier that coffins I've used on 100 milers, VERY satisfied with product!!!

Great tent for the money. High quality construction, lightweight and fairly compact to carry-- definitely not "ultra light" or "ultra tiny" but very reasonable for carrying and use for a single person, yet you still have a very nice, roomy tent. Set up is a joke its so easy, Highly recommend this tent. I don't think you can beat it for the Sierra price.

  • Question “any recommendation for the footprint of the tent?”
Asked on 4/28/2012 12:00:00 AM by Anonymous from Unknown
    • Answer I hunted myself...unsuccessfully. I always have an issue buying a footprint for $40 for a tent I barely paid over $100...know what i mean? Go on ebay...buy the bulk tyvek footprints people sell [about $15 delivered] by the foot [54" x 88" i believe is the floor plan on the Ajax 2]. Cut 3-4" shorter than outline to prevent drip pooling...place some duct tape on the corners...poke holes in corners and tie some 550 cord lanyards to affix to the tent pole webbing loops. Cheap, wx proof, packs up smaller and pretty durable long-lasting stuff.
Answered on 6/16/2012 12:00:00 AM by underrdog from Earth
    • Answer I've used the tyvek ebay guys also....if you tell them the size, they'll make it to order and put grommets in it for about $15. Best deal out there.

Asked on 4/10/2012 12:00:00 AM by Anonymous from Unknown
    • Answer Unfortunately the Ajax 2 does not come with a footprint.
Answered on 4/10/2012 12:00:00 AM by Prod. Spec. Ryan from Sierra Trading Post
    • Answer I read another review somewhere that said you could substitute the Earlylight 2P footprint.
