The tent stayed in the same location for 17 days and housed only one occupant. Night time temperatures ranged from 20 to 60 F. Weather included direct sun, thunderstorms, windstorms and subfreezing frosts. The fly was securely staked down using all available tie-loops, (and two large rocks). The ten... Read More

The tent arrived in a timely manner and I was excited with how easy it set up. Of course it was in the living room but hey, I've been looking forward to a good tent for a while.
I like the opening on both sides, giving the option of accessing gear while having the sleep area undisturbed. Fly went on quickly and interior seemed very roomy.
I'm looking forward to some trips this summer.

Just as described. If you need a footprint for the tent the Big Agnes Scout Plus footprint fits perfectly.

This is the second tent I have ever owned - the first having been sent back because it was so complicated I couldn't even get it set up properly (it was a fancy air tent). The price was great, the set up was easier than I could have imagined, and it fits two people nicely. Definitely need to pair with a ground sheet because I don't trust the floor so much, but other than that I can see this tent will get a lot of use. I will be taking it on a week long trip soon, and I know it will do fantastic as it's already held up to a lot of moisture (ohio fog + dew + humidity, temps from the 80s to low 40's). I may even buy the 3 person version as a family tent for my mom to come along. The price when paired with a coupon, could not be beat.

My son has had two of these tents traveling around the world the last 4 years. He said he would be dry when others got wet from rains. It is easy to set up and light weight. He has had to replace poles but held up like no other.

  • Question “Does the Marmot Trailight 2 footprint work with this tent?”
Asked on 3/2/2016 10:06:40 PM by Amy B from Michigan
    • Answer I can't guarantee it as we don't carry the Traillight 2, but they do have the same floor dimensions, so I would think it would work.

    • Answer My son has the tent. So I don't know the answer to your question. I can tell you this is the second of this tent he has had. He has been traveling around the world the last 3 years. He bicycled from Venice Italy to Athens Greece in January and February and that tent is what he used. With rain He says it keeps him dry when all others are wet. It is easy to set up. Light weight. I just sent him some steaks for it but I'm not sure if he lost them or they broke. He just came from the Annapurna Circuit which elevation is higher than Pikes Peak. When the first tent bit the dust I ordered this one not remembering which one he had and when he opened it he was thrilled to have the same tent.

    • Answer My son has the tent you'd have to ask the company. This is the second of this tent he's had and he sleeps it in all the time. He loves the tent and says it out performs others meaning he stays dry when others are wet. He's gone all over the world with it backpacking, says its light weight way to put up and down. The only thing he's replaced has been steaks for it.

    • Answer 3 seasons typically means the tent is suitable for spring-fall weather. This is not the tent to take to Everest or anywhere with snow.
