This is my upgrade/replacement for my 10 year old Kelty Riverbend II. Ever since witnessing 4 tents get crushed in a storm - and a Kelty tent as the only one left standing - I became a Kelty believer... but this Marmot deal was too good to pass up. It's mostly mesh, so it's light and should be perfect for Arizona's mostly warm and dry climate. And, to me, you are either in a situation where you want no mesh (cold/wet) so you use the fly or you want the tent to breathe... and this will most definitely breathe well. I have yet to use this in the field - will update as field tests become available - but I did set this up in the family room.
First blush: lighter than my Riverbend and light overall. This assembles very easily as there are no sleeves to slide poles through just a series of press-clips. LOVE the 2-side doors as one person can enter/exit without crawling from front to back and, ultimately, without climbing over the other camper. With 2 side doors also comes 2 vestibules which should be great for storing gear with some order and without getting mixed with the other camper's gear.
