5.0 out of 5 stars. Great tent

Used the tent this weekend for the first time. Very easy to set-up. Very packable for an adventure motorcycle. Weather was good, so I don't know about ability in the rain, but all of the tent seams appear to be of high quality.

There is no footprint; I used a cheap 8x10 tarp. The short side of the tarp fit perfectly with the long side of the tent. In the picture, you will see that I just used the leftover portion of the tarp outside the one vestibule. In the rain, you would just fold that under so that the rain does not get between the floor bottom and the tarp. This worked better than a footprint in my opinion.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Great tent!

This tent is nice and light, making it easily portable for backpacking trips. We use it as a 2 person tent so that there is enough room to stow the rest of our gear in the tent without being too cramped. This is actually our 3rd purchase of the same tent - we gave one to each of our twenty-something sons for their own camping trips. They both use theirs several times a summer and have nothing but good stuff to say about it. Waterproofing has held up after multiple uses and several years. Easy to assemble and pack back up. Highly recommend this tent!

easy to put up and take down. It's tight, but it works and is well made.

Excellent lightweight and roomy tent. The two doors and two dry vestibules make this a great tent for backpacking, especially for the price.

I set this tent up in my living room to check it out. Set up is easy and looks to be a roomy tent for two people.

The only downside is, the proper set up of the rain fly depends on getting stakes into the ground, so if the ground is very hard or you otherwise don't want to use the rain fly, there's no privacy in the tent with out the fly. This shows clearly in the picture.

The stakes look good and sturdy. I'm looking forward to some fall camping.

My husband and I received this tent as a gift in 2016. We have used it on a number of camping trips since then, from June to October (in the northeast, below freezing temps), and are so pleased with the purchase. While you could probably fit a third person in there, for a backpacking-type tent of course that would be crowded. We find that the tent has plenty of room for two people (including one who is over 6 ft) and our bags, no problem. It's comfortably high enough to sit up in. The rain fly and high sides have always worked well in wet weather (we do use a tarp as ground cover). It's so easy and fast to set up. We use the small hooks on the roof of the tent to hang a lamp. Couldn't love it more! Totally worth the purchase.

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
