This tent is very easy to set up. The rainfly is completely waterproof but doesnt have any venting to let out moisture. Lots of space inside and in the vestibules. I like these doors that go off to the side rather than having to climb in on the door like in the titan, same exact tent other than the doors.

I have not got to use the tent yet but I did set it up. I love it, it went up so easy and will make a great 2 person tent. That is what I bought it for was only 2 people. The vestibules were big and roomy and the zippers do not snag. I am very happy with my tent at the moment I will update after it has been used in the outback.

Just got home from first 3 night trip with this tent which included 3+ inches of heavy rain. Not a drop of water in the tent and I am very happy with this purchase.

This is not, in my opinion a three season. Save it for the warm weather, it's all mesh and the rain fly barely covers the the solid material on the bottom. So the rain cover could be longer and the bottom about eight inches higher. The materials are solid quality.

  • Question “What is the purpose of the four small plastic rings on the inside about 1 foot from the peak of the tent?||What is the purpose of the two tabs sewn into the seam of the fly on one side of the vestibule?||My tent has a seam in the floor. Is this a factory second?”
Asked on 1/21/2013 12:00:00 AM by Yak Fanatic from Plymouth, MA
    • Answer The rings are for attaching a gear loft. The gear loft is sold separately. I believe they are for tying back one side open.||No that is normal these are 1at quality closeouts.

  • Question “Just received mine - noticed it has hooks to attach a gear loft, but I couldn't find a gear loft anywhere in the box. Is there supposed to be one?”
Asked on 1/18/2013 12:00:00 AM by GRH from Utah
    • Answer The Ajax does not come with a footprint or gear loft. Thanks for asking and have a great day.

  • Question “I called Marmot and was told that the Marmot Limelight 3 footprint is NOT compatible with the Ajax 3. However, I was told that in the upcoming months, Sierra Trading Post will be selling an Ajax 3 footprint. Can you confirm this? Thanks.”
Asked on 12/18/2012 12:00:00 AM by TimTom from Whitefish, MT
    • Answer At this time I am unaware that we are getting any footprints in the near future.|Due to the nature of the closeout business, we often receive items in limited quantities. Therefore, popular sizes and colors can sell out quickly. Occasionally we are able to reorder a product, but closeout items are typically unable to be reordered.|Unfortunately we are currently out of this item, but we suggest signing up for the My Updates as the best way to monitor incoming products. • Question “What footprint will work with the Ajax 3? Marmot does not list it in their current catalogue or any past ones.”
Asked on 9/18/2012 12:00:00 AM by BSA Dad from Tallahassee, Fl
    • Answer First of all I went to college at FSU in Tallahassee! Second, this tent does not have a footprint and Marmot doesn't make one. However, if you go to a home improvement store and by visqueen plastic you can cut out a footprint to the exact shape you need. 3.5 mil visqueen goes for about $15 for 10 X 25 feet and then you have extra in case you have to replace it. No grommets in the footprint though so that is a drawback. Hope this helps.
