    Pros:
    Light Weight, Quick Drying
    Cons:
    May be claustrophibic
    Best Uses:
    Backpacking, Emergency shelter
    Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I took this backpacking and it kept me warm and dry in a sleet and rain shower. It seemed to add 10 degrees of warmth to my sleeping bag, I was very comfortable with a 20 degree bag even when the temp droped into the low teens. It does collect moisture from your breathing which can dampen your sleeping bag. Although this was minimal when I kept the bivy open around my mouth. If you don't want to carry a tent and can stand a little condensation inside this is a great lightweight option. Be advised that there is a warning label telling you not to zip it all the way up because it is also air tight as well as water tight.
