Reviewed by HikerBiker from Kalamazoo on Sunday, January 17, 2016I own a Marmot Gravity (M1) and a Marmot ROM (M2) and although this jacket is an M2 shell, it is definitely thicker than my ROM jacket and almost indistinguishable from my Gravity jacket. It's a great jacket, but I found the sleeves a little long and the cuffs very bulky. Unlike the Gravity shell, which has a thinner cuff material around the Velcro strap area to help it lay flat, the Altitude bunches up. I found myself constantly hitting the cuff against the coat or my pants when my arms swung with every stride. It also made it more difficult to get my hand in the jacket pockets. Otherwise, it's a 5-star jacket.
Reviewed by Ed from CA on Monday, February 2, 2015Typical Marmot fit although feels slightly shorter in body to me.
I am 6'3" 187 lb, large fits well.
Material stretchy and soft. Seems like an around town jacket vs something I would take skiing.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by LD from RI on Monday, October 1, 2012goog for watersports (sailing, offshore fishing) where that warm sunny afternoon can turn chilly closer to sunset. This jacket is comfy over a surprisingly wide range of temperatures.
- Cons: Runs just a bit big, Sleeves a bit too long
- Pros: Comfortable, Exceptionally Windproof, Very high Quality Fabric
