Marmot Approach Jacket - Soft Shell (For Men)

A nice light weight soft shell.Well made with Marmot quality.Great for cycling or fall/spring hikes.

I can't get this jacket off my wife, otherwise I'm sure I would like it. Great jacket for mid-Atlantic winters with temperature variations of up to 30 degrees from day to day.

very useful and stylish

I purchased this for use this upcoming Autumn here in New England. I was looking for a windproof and water resistant three season jacket to use before the really cold weather arrived. So far we've only had 1 cool night and the jacket worked great. The sleeve collars are velcro and therefore easily adjustable and the fit is nice and not bulky at all.

Thank you STP, I saw this first at (another huge outdoor store) and had to have it. They didnt have my size or the color that I wanted.[...]. I have been camping on the STP site ever since.

The reason for the long in the arms comment is that it actually fits my arms in length. Most jackets in a med that would fit my chest wouldn't fit my arm length. I wear a 42-44 normally and the Med fits well in the chest, large enough to wear a fleece pullover under it but not much more. The fit of the lower arms is slim so there isn't a bunch of extra fabric flapping around on your arms. The burnish is a bit more on the sage color side than I thought it would be but really like it.

Sleeve length is great - I'm 6'3" 185lbs with 36" sleeves/43" chest/33"waist and the XL fit very well. Very comfortable, and looks great for wearing to work. Cuts wind well, and is a great 3-4 season jacket - room for a light fleece underneath in the winter. Have had many compliments on the appearance and fit of the jacket - so far in rain it is water repellant. Just right for my uses,

Jacket is durable enough to be worn through thorny thickets, M3 fabric is perfect balance; not too cold nor too warm; I can find a use for it in all four seasons, layered over 1 or 2 layers, or under a rain shell; multitude of uses in different climates. Water beads up on it and rolls off, I read the repelency is compromised if fabric gets dirty, but thats a given in the bush, so thats where the rainshell comes in. I just dont think of this as a rain item and dont have any problem. It does whats its designed to do and does it very well. Will continue to use this jacket a lot. A valuable item. 5'7 125lb male- 31-32" sleeve, Small is well fitting like a glove, but just roomy enough to be non constricting. Sleeves are a little long but wrist straps take care of that.

This jacket is a little tight --- I guess it's going to give me some extra motivation to loose those winter LBS.
