I was looking for an all weather jacket that repels rain & snow, is windproof and good for layering. I will use the jacket for hiking and some cross-country skiing. It will accomodate a vest or layer underneath for sub-zero conditions.
The tall collar is comfortable and the pit-zips are a nice feature. I have just owned it a month but quality appears to be there and the Goretex meets my criteria
