    I used this to replace my Marmot Precip during winter; it's an amazing jacket for the price. I don't ski but I suppose you could use it for that, feels a bit too long for me (5'4). Marmot's sizing always runs somewhat small; I'm a size 8/10 and I couldn't have fit a down layer underneath this in medium, the large fits perfectly with it.

    You will stay dry and wind protected with this jacket. I hiked in a several hour downpoor...I was dry but my friends were wet. I need pants of this quality now! Lots of special features to customize the fit and for different stages of weather. I only wish it came with more instructions to explain what all the special things do. With a fleece underlayer, it will keep you warmer than many other options. There are cheeper options out there but they will disappoint...this one will not!

    like the zippers and extra pockets; haven't figured out how to adjust the hood so it doesn't hang over my face, but haven't worked very hard at it yet. had to get more bomber-proof raingear since what is waterproof in colorado is not so much in seattle, wa. i intend to use it snowshoeing and snow camping.
