I purchased the Marmot Destination Waterproof jacket for a trip to Ireland and Scotland next spring. I was very pleasantly surprised at the excellent quality of this coat, not jacket. I normally wear a size 4, am 5'3" with a slight build. I ordered the Small, because I wanted to be able to wear a sweater under it. The fit is perfect, except the sleeves are slightly too long, but I just folded them up. The length hits me just at the top of the knee. The outer pockets are zipped and snapped, and there are 3 pockets on the inside, which are also secured either with a zipper of snap. It's slightly fitted at the waist and has an attractive silhouette. I love it, love it, love it! Seems like it will be warm, as well.

I haven't used it in the rain yet but the fit is great! I ordered a small and I am 5 ft 6 in about 123 lbs. I am small chested but athletic so my back/shoulders are a little bigger. I had plenty of room to layer and I am excited to wear the jacket. Love having the zippers as well as snaps. I have no complaints other than I waited and waited for a discount and was able to use a 35% off coupon so that made it worth the money. The gray color is also perfect - can go with most anything. And you can dress up or down with this jacket.

Rain is no problem! Neither are wind or cold. This jacket is great for fall, spring, and possibly winter if yours are mild or if you have a cozy sweater to put under it. It's a double layered jacket, so it's thicker than a typical raincoat -- This will most likely not be a good choice for warmer climates/seasons. I will look for a single layer coat for the summer, but for now this one is FANTASTIC. Plus, I get compliments on it every time I wear it out. :) bonus.

We love Marmot products. Functional yet maintaining a touch of style. I was looking for a rain coat for between seasons and not too sportive looking. This fits the bill almost perfectly. Two things I would have liked to see(hence one less star): zippable underarm vents, and visor in the hood to provide better rain protection. Btw it's really warm (and a bit under ventilated) so I wouldn't use it for summer rains.

Very good quality, but a little heavy material. Overall - decent rain jacket for spring or fall.

I can't say enough good things about this jacket. The color (shadow grey) is gorgeous, and the jacket is very well thought out. I'm 5'7 and 127 lbs, and the small is roomy enough to wear a vest under. It's elegant enough to wear with a dress, and I love the length. Get it while you can.

There was a small defect in the hood, and STP made it very easy for me to get a replacement. Great customer service.

I am crazy about this raincoat! It's classically stylish and extremely well made. It has all the sensibilities of raingear designed for serious outdoor enthusiasts, yet it has the style of a department store designer trenchcoat. The fabric is an advanced breathable waterproof material. There is a subtle plaid in the weave. The hood is detachable (zip-off) and the ends of the hood piece slip in little slots locked in with velcro, for a neat appearance. There are external pockets with snap flaps for security, and these pockets are generous. My wallet tucks easily into one of these pockets. There are internal pockets too. It has a two-way zipper closure and snaps. The collar around the neck is lined with a soft thin fleece for comfort.

I purchased a large, and it fit me nicely with a good amount of extra room for bulky clothes underneath. Usually I wear a 12-14. It isn't super-warm, so it's nice for spring and fall. You could wear it in colder weather, but will need heavier clothes underneath.

I have not had the chance to wear it in a downpour, so I don't have personal experience with extreme conditions. It performs beautivully in light rain.
