This is a good price for a 650-loft down jacket. I would consider it a 'trim-fit' rather than a 'classic-fit'. It is not as trim as an 800-loft down sweater but it's also half the price. I am 5'7", 128 lbs, and a 36B--that generally translates into a U.S. size 6 these days. This jacket sizing indi... Read More
Reviewed by CarolinaGirl from North Carolina on Sunday, August 31, 2014This jacket is a nice color and probably quite warm. It's not too bulky at all. However, the large was too big for me. I'm 5-6, #150. It isn't a very flattering shape for a female, quite boxy. I returned it in hopes for finding something better for the winter.
Reviewed by Laceykenzie from California on Monday, March 3, 2014I've wanted a black down coat forever, and this was too good a deal to pass up. It is SOOO soft, light, warm, and just long enough. Has a soft lining on the inside of the collar, too. Looks stylish with jeans or while skiing. Love it and know I'll have this for years and years.
Reviewed by Hiker22 from Woodland WA on Sunday, February 23, 2014I'm 5'9" and 160 pounds so I ordered the extra-large. Jacket fits great and is stylish enough to wear to work or to the mall.
Reviewed by Outdoor living from Washington on Wednesday, February 19, 2014This is a great coat! Warm, fits nicely...actually have purchased 4 others for friends who needed them. I am very happy with this product.
Reviewed by suesew from Western North Carolina on Friday, February 14, 2014I usually wear a large but from reading the reviews that said that the jacket ran a little small, I bought an extra large. There is room enough to wear layers underneath. There is nothing I do not like about it.

No the Marmot Guides Down Jacket is not waterproof.
No, it is not.
Not proof but resistant
I doubt it - it's a down jacket with nylon covering.
I wore it in the rain briefly, it seems water repellant, but not waterproof. I would wear a gortex jacket over it if you are in rainy conditions for any extended period of time.
