Most Helpful 5-Star Review

5.0 out of 5 stars. Love it!

I wanted a light-weight shirt that had UPF protection for spending long hours in the sun. Sometimes I hate wearing sunscreen slathered all over my arms, so this shirt is perfect for hiking or biking or any day spent outdoors. I wore it on a 3-hour hike, and it was soft and comfortable. I love the long sleeves; I have long arms and often find it hard to find sleeves that have enough length. The blue color is gorgeous! I washed the shirt inside out and put it inside a net bag, just in case of snagging. I hung it up to dry, and it turned out fine. What a GREAT price (on sale) for a Marmot product! The fit was good, too. I ordered a size small-- 5'7", 120 lbs.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Good rash guard

I used this as sun protection and as a rash guard under my wetsuit while in southern Baja. Fits well. I'm 5'7", 125 pounds and ordered a small as I wanted a snug fit.
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Perfect for me, seems that the fit depends on body style

Very well made, great design and color, definitely wearable in the Summer heat and humidity of the Houston, TX area. I bought a small and it is a nice fit for me. 5 ft 7 in, 123 lbs, slender, 34A. I cycle in this shirt so I'm on the road for 40-50 miles non-stop and really want sun protection, longish arm length, cooling, quick drying. I should have bought 2. I do think that if you are broad shouldered or have large/muscular arms you may want to order up.
  • 2.0 out of 5 stars. a little tight

The arms were too tight for me, so I sent it back before trying it outside. I worry that the fabric would stick to me once I started sweating.

I use this to protect myself from the sun's rays while biking, hiking and kayaking. It is exactly what I needed for summer activities. I am going to order more in other colors!

I bought the bright blue/turquoise color and love it. This shirt was purchased to use as a rash guard under a wet suit. Fit is snug just as I needed. I'm 5'7" 125 pounds and ordered a small.

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
