Marmot Kirkwood Gore-Tex® Shell Jacket - Waterproof (For Women)

I would have loved this jacket. This jacket has a unusual cut it runs smaller in the hip/waist. A customer should move up one size for this jacket. I am 4'11" and weigh 108 lbs.

The cut is a little different. Luckily it fit my friend perfectly. She has wide shoulders and usually fits an XS. Reading the reviews on this site I bought her a Small. It fit well because usually the XS's are too narrow at the shoulders and the Small's are to wide in other places. This jacket was perfect being a Small in the shoulders but narrow like an XS at the waist. Great construction, the color is a great (toned down) orange, not to bright. Durable, breathable Goretex Pro, much more durable then eVent.

Marmot coats are the best, generally, but this one is just a little too short and snug to take to the backcountry. The sleeves are even short enough that when you your arms are in straight front of you, the sleeves pull up a couple of inches. No room for layering under and just a little too short in the front to offer protection from the elements. Might be okay for cold weather town use. Returned it for a Marmot Cervino.

I am about 5'4" 118 lbs with an athletic build and this jacket fits great! I was looking for something lightweight and bright to wear for hikes, mountain biking during the Spring and Fall in Wyoming which includes hunting seasons. I have been wearing it in some cold weather as well and have stayed warm with a couple small layers. The pit zips are an excellent benefit! Love it!

I plan to use this jacket when I walk the 190 mile Coast to Coast England in June. Going through some of the rainiest parts of the UK, I am sure it will get plenty of use. And it will be light enough to carry in my pack at other times. And I don't plan on getting lost - the vibrant blue color when stand out!

I will return product for a larger size, even though I take a size 6. I am 5foot 4 inches tall and weigh 124 lbs. go figure.

Great looking jacket, I am slim around the waist and the jacket fits nicely but tight. Would not recommend to anyone with a bit of a "tummy".

Very cute jacket. Love Marmot prodcuts normally, however this jacket runs VERY VERY small. I read all the other comments and didn't listen to them. I normally wear a size small in jackets and even have another Marmot jacket at home size small. This was like a child small! Very fitted style. Arm length was perfect and chest size was even slightly big, but very short jacket and tight around my mid section. I would recommend this to a very small friend.

I'm generally a size 4-6 and this was too small. It's going back!

I'm 5'4 and busty, averaging between 125-130. I sized up to Medium originally, based on reviews. However, while I loved the bright orange color (Radiate) the fabric peaked at chest level right in front of my armpits, almost like an extra set of awkwardly placed breasts. Only when I wore a down vest and down coat did I fill the material. I'm looking for a shell that is as attractive without layers as with, as I spend much of the year outside in varying weather -mostly rain, wind and snow- but I won't always need two down layers! I exchanged the Medium for a Small in the darker Orange Glow, and it fit great. Yes, it is a big snug around the hips, but zipped fine over my down vest. As a redhead, I'm not a fan of the Orange Glow, which trends towards a pinkish hue in some lights, in others, it's more like hunter's orange.
